Product Details
RS PRO introduces the fantastic range of heat install brass inserts designed for high performance in almost all thermoplastics, using either drilled or moulded holes. These threaded inserts feature an opposing herringbone knurled outer diameter for a secure hold and to reduce the stress on the plastic that could cause cracks. They also have a pilot end which aids insertion and makes alignment with the hole easy.
Threaded inserts are available in various materials and finishes and metric course threads to suit every application. Heat inserts are particularly suitable in thermoplastic materials that are prone to stress cracks that are also flexible to let the knurls anchor into the material. Threaded inserts are designed to provide strong permanent threads in thermoset and other hard plastics and are commonly used in plastic casings and housing.
