STC™ Starting Torque Controller

The STC™ is designed for low horsepower three phase squirrel cage induction motors applications, it is intended to relieve the starting torque surges, which are often encountered during start up. By producing a smoother start up, it will help to reduce equipment downtime due to shock and vibration. It is intended that the STC is used in conjunction with an electro mechanical motor starter.,The compact design and simple wiring arrangement means it can be easily incorporated into existing equipment. The controller is set up by the adjustment of two rotary controls, one to set the initial torque and the other to set the voltage ramp time.,A controller may be used as a alternative for a resistor ballast starter, line reactor, clutch, flywheel or fluid coupling. Typical applications include material handling equipment, pumps, fans and lifting equipment.
