Comair Rotron AC Ball Bearing Axial Fans

From Comair Rotron, these AC ball bearing axial fans are available in a wide range of sizes, voltages and airflow ratings, ensuring that the correct fan will be available for any specific cooling specification. Comair Rotron AC fans feature outstanding airflow performance in high pressure systems and all include a permanent split capacitor motor. An extended ball bearing life ensures fault-free use for a significant period of time and ensures Comair Rotron AC fans provide a flexible and dependable cooling solution for applications which require an axial fan to be mounted in any axial position. All models are highly reliable and excellent quality.

Features and Benefits

• Outstanding airflow performance in high pressure systems
• Extended bearing life
• Black casing
• Storage temperature -40 → +85 °C
• Automatic restart function

What is an axial fan used for?

An axial fan is used for both cooling and ventilation purposes. The impellers or blades rotate around a parallel axis and force air to move in an axial position, so both in and out. As an example, on a desktop PC, the axial fan would be mounted directly to the motherboard and blow air directly at the processing unit. A constant high pressure of air flow ensures PC will continue to run smoothly. Axial fans can also be used in various other applications, such as:

• Refrigerators
• Enclosed server cases
• Air conditioners and other ventilation systems which use ducting

Why choose a ball bearing axial fan?

Ball bearings are the more common choice over ceramic and sleeve bearings. This is mainly due to the ability of the fan to be mounted at both horizontal and vertical positions, especially in applications which either need to be mobile or have to be suspended in an unnatural position. Another highlight would be the life expectancy, a ball bearing axial fan would last significantly longer than its sleeve counterpart.

What is an automatic restart?

As an example, if the fan locks up while the motor is still running, this can cause an increase in coil temperature. The automatic restart function can temporarily remove power to the motor preventing unwanted temperature rise. Once the locked fan rotor is released, the fan restarts and resumes running at its normal operation and speed.
