ebm-papst 3400N Series Tachometer Feedback DC Axial Fan
Ebm-papsts 3400N series of DC axial fans have a ball bearing design to facilitate smooth operation at any orientation. They are protected against reverse polarity and locking, and feature fully integrated electronic communication for ease of use. These ball bearing fans are ideal for high performance thermal management.
These fans have a tachometer output for speed-sensor control and management.
Features and Benefits
Air exhaust over struts
Connection via single strands (AWG 24)
Fibreglass-reinforced plastic construction
Speed Signal
Go / No-go alarm
Alarm with limit speed
External and internal temperature sensor
PWN and Analogue control input
Applications
Ball bearing axial fans are often used to cool high density computing equipment, where high performance is required and noise isnt a consideration.
FAQ
Q: What are the advantages of ball bearing fans over sleeve bearing fans?
A: Ball bearing fans are typically less prone to wear and tear than sleeve bearing, which makes them ideal for a longer service life. They are also able to operate in higher temperatures, and in any orientation. However, they are less rugged and can be more easily disrupted by impact, and tend to be noisier than their sleeve bearing counterparts.
Q: Is the fan easy to operate?
A:With completely integrated electronic communication, the fans require little input from the user to operate.
Q: Is the fan durable?
A: 3400N series ball bearing axial fans are constructed from glass fibre reinforced plastic, and are protected against a degree of particle ingress as standard.
Q: Are there accessories available for this fan?
A: There is a finger guard (512-575) and filter (200-7643) available for this series of fans.
