This photo-electric sensor is a Compact background-blanking device designed for industrial detection tasks where distinguishing foreground objects from backgrounds is required. It uses an LED light source and a cylindrical form factor suitable for flange mounting, intended for automated processes in electrical, mechanical and electronics environments that demand robust ingress protection and consistent switching behaviour.
It is designed to detect polymethyl methacrylate reliably when background blanking is applied to ignore the mounting surface.
Connection is via a 4-pin M12 Terminal and it provides an NPN switching output compatible with standard input modules.
The body combines polycarbonate components with nickel-plated brass elements to balance chemical resistance and mechanical integrity.
