RS PRO Compression Spring Only and Extension Spring Only Kits
RS PRO Compression Spring and Extension Spring kits which are supplied in a handy and convenient storage box with individual compartments for easy identification of the springs. Spring kits are ideal for people regularly working with springs of different types and sizes, these RS PRO kits are particularly handy if you are unsure what size spring you will need for future applications.

Compression Only, Compression spring kits each offering a different size range of springs.,
280-127 - Kit No. 1: 320 springs, 8 each of 40 different sizes
280-133 - Kit No. 2: 140 springs, 5 each of 28 different sizes
280-149 - Kit No. 3: 149 springs, 5 each of 27 different sizes
Extension only, Extension spring kits each offering a different size range
280-155 - Kit No. 1: 200 springs, 5 each of 40 different sizes
280-161 - Kit No. 2: 142 springs, 5 each of 26 and 3 each of 4 different sizes

Types of Springs
Compression springs also referred to as coil springs are very popular as they can store a large amount of energy in a small space making them ideal for a great range of uses. Coiled springs are designed so they can push back to the springs original height when they are compressed. These springs have varying degrees of stiffness which is also known as spring rate and are used to keep components from meeting.
Extension springs are like compression springs but have hooks or loops at either end and the springs expand or stretch when the load is applied to each end.
