Product Details
Use this USB (universal serial bus) connector from Molex to transfer power and data from your printed circuit boards (PCBs) to other devices. It's a compact device and is surface-mounted, meaning it's soldered directly to your PCB to deliver a strong connection that won't come loose, even in the event of heavy vibrations. For added convenience, it features unique OTG (on-the-go) technology, which allows portable devices to communicate directly with each other without using a host computer. Thanks to a fully shielded stainless steel shell that provides mechanical strength and protection from electromagnetic interference (EMI), this connector gives you noiseless signal transmission.
A USB 2.0 connector like this one has a maximum transfer speed of 480Mbps (megabits per second), making it suitable for high-speed data transfer.
0.65 mm pitch micro USB Type A and Type AB connectors with a compact design, a PCB space saving footprint and a high durability of over 10000 insertion cycles. The specification of these micro USB connectors supports OTG (On-The-Go) and enable portable devices to communicate directly with each other without the need for a host computer. These micro USB receptacle connectors have a lead-in feature on the housing that enables blind mating to the cable plug. A fully shielded laser-welded stainless steel shell offers mechanical strength and EMI protection. The connector shell features latching windows with tabs for a secure connection to the mating plug assembly. The edge contact beam geometry of the connector shell facilitates high-speed data transmission. These micro USB Type A and Type AB connectors are available as top, bottom and mid-mount.
These micro USB Type A and Type AB connectors are ideal for use in small portable devices. Applications include mobile phones, PDA, GPS, MP3 players, digital still and video cameras, printers, keyboards, flash drives and vehicle battery chargers.
